Commissioned for a young couple in Brazil, the “LA House”, designed by Studio Guilherme Torres, differs from its surrounding condos with its extra private space due to enhanced height through the foundation of a plateau at ground level. Before you even enter the house, a big wooden box made out of Brazilian teak cumaru wood would make any passerby turn and look. Walls surround the trapezoidal house and defines the area for the garden and swimming pool.
