In 2015, after implementing lessons learned from the fur-free approach in the brand’s children’s range and remaining strongly committed to “Make it Better”, Napapijri began its journey to become down free. Through product innovation, Napapijri developed a down free insulation replacement called Thermo-FibreTM. Thermo-Fibre is composed of lightweight air-trapping microspheres that create a soft, quilted texture that ensures superior thermal regulation and insulation and was initially introduced in the brands AW15 outerwear collection. The technology was then rolled out across the collection the following year – making 99% of Napapijri products down free.

Today, the AW17 collection is 100% down free and with these concepts fully expressed in the Superlight Skidoo, This lightweight, breathable parka – which is 1 kilogram lighter than Napapijri’s average winter parka – seeks innovation beyond aesthetic and integrates functionality overall creating the perfect jacket for AW17 all whilst helping the environment. You can be sure this is on our must-have list for this AW17. Price £615, Available Napapijri.com
