Five Things We Want This Week

Benjamin Edgar – Participating In The Human Species T.

Created by the man of the self-titled label the “participating in the human species” t-shirt is an interesting one. Made from Supima cotton, it says so much without saying too much at all.  “I truly believe we’ve landed in a very unfortunate spot where people who don’t agree simply yell at each other at a similar volume and accomplish very little in the process. Its effectively become a form of noise cancelling where one sound wave perfectly matches the inverse of itself. So…instead of yelling, etc, I thought it might be nice to remind one another that we’re all on the same team, from the same species.” says designer Benjamin Edgar.

Benjamin Edgar – Carbon Hangers

The carbon fibre stems from the designer’s intense interest and just general passion for materials…in this instance “wet layup” carbon fibre. “It was always a very futuristic material when I was growing up…new, used in aerospace, F1 racing, incredibly expensive (at the time) road bicycles, etc” says designer Benjamin Edgar. Do you need a carbon fibre clothes hang? Not really no, but will it look cool as f**k hanging around your place? Hell yes! $300, Available

TVR Griffith Launch Edition

All hail the new TVR Griffith, a V8-engined wholly British sports car that, today, is being shown by the marque at the London Motor Show. A rival to the Porsche 911, we love this new model — that has employed advanced aerodynamics to boost performance and advanced design to boost the number of heads it’s bound to turn. There are 500 Launch Edition models, like the one above, being offered — and you must only lay down a £5000 deposit to secure one for yourself, with the full price sitting at £90,000. That’s more expensive than the 911’s £78,000 starting price, but we reckon the extra is worth it. Do you agree?
Starting Price £90,000, Available
