As we all know in the UK this Thursday is the time when the country comes together to take stock of current regime in No.10 Downing Street and then places a vote to decide who will run the country over the next four years.
When it comes to politics many are skeptical, either casting a ‘nothing vote’ for a smaller party or simply not showing up to the polls which has a huge knock-on effect to the greater country. But BrewDog want to change all that. The independent Scottish craft brewer have announced the return of their ‘Vote Punk’ campaign, which originally appeared during the 2017 General Election and have pledged to buy every voter a pint for doing their democratic duty. All you have to do to receive your free pint of Punk IPA is simply show a selfie of yourself taken outside a polling station in any UK BrewDog Bar on election day. Simple, cast a vote, get a free pint.
BrewDog co-founder James Watt said “Casting a vote is any citizen’s duty and a responsibility not to be taken lightly. That’s why we are rewarding anyone who votes in this General Election with a Punk IPA on us. We’re not affiliated with any political party or movement, choosing to settle our differences over a pint instead, and now we can offer you the chance to do both – voting on the 12th and then having a beer on us the same day.”
If that doesn’t make you get out there and vote, we don’t know what will.
