Top Tipples For The Festive Season

Festive season is here, that means plenty of food and more importantly, drink. In the UK, the British public will apparently consume as much as 5.7bn units of alcohol over the festive period, thats a lot of booze. But what will be your festive tipple for the holidays? We’ve put together a list of our top drinks that will keep you warm, cosy and a little bit merry through Christmas eve and beyond.

Isle Of Harris Gin

The award-winning Isle of Harris Gin – every drop distilled on the island. A beautifully designed bottle captures the elemental nature of the Isle of Harris, while its contents will reward the drinker with refreshing maritime pleasures with the inclusion of local, hand-harvested Sugar Kelp working alongside eight other carefully chosen botanicals. Each bottle is sent directly from the distillery in the Outer Hebrides and is also available for immediate pick up through click&collect stores.

On taste it’s a refreshing balance between the bitter juniper, pine and the sweet fruit flavours of mango, grapefruit and orange. A green herb flavour develops with crushed coriander. Distinctive and smooth with its dry, flinty taste and leaves an overall a long, clean finish. As the juniper and citrus peel notes fade away, sweet vanilla and black pepper remain with a gentle reminder of the sea. A real winner for anyone who is a gin lover.
