Deep in a pin oak forest in Long Island, Marchi Architects imagines Woodhouse. The above rendering depicts a circular structure resting among the tree trunks of the surrounding forest. Its outer shell harmoniously blends into the natural scenery with a combination of concrete and vertical wooden planks. Large panels of glazing puncture the opaque facade, exposing views of the landscape for the interior. Wrapping around a central courtyard, the inner facade is made entirely out of glass. The transparent barrier welcoming in natural light while creating a seamless connection between the living spaces and the concealed outdoor area.
