Situated between the Visočica and Bjelašnica mountain ranges, the Bivouac Zoran Simic Cabin takes advantage of the dual panoramic views on offer in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Its location is an intersection where trekking paths cross the Rakitnica canyon and connect the two mountains, allowing passing hikers a chance to rest while taking in the inspiring scenery. Inside the shelter, three platforms create spaces for beds or benches that can accommodate up to nine visitors while large glazed panels flank the interior and frame in views to the north and south. Its unique exterior is formed around the interior to minimise the footprint and reduce disruption to the natural terrain. Learn more here.
