Thom Sweeney is a modern British tailor with stores in London and New York, in fact, they’re more than that. They are the true meaning of British casual tailoring at its finest. Purchasing just one of their items is like can be akin to simply trying to purchase the gear knob or hand crafted racing seat from a Singer Design Porsche 911 Turbo, you simply do not do it. The same is true for Thom Sweeney and their products. The brands aim is to make formal and casual clothes which combine understated, masculine design with superior craftsmanship. The house was founded by Savile Row trained tailors Thom Whiddett and Luke Sweeney. They met in 2003 at Timothy Everest, one of the most influential tailors of the day, when Thom was Head Cutter and Luke managed the house’s made-to-measure service. Soon after they started working together, they decided to go their own way. Seventeen years later, Thom Sweeney is a leading British luxury brand with an international reputation and clientele. Below you can see a selection of looks from the brands new AW2020 range which epitomises their aim to combine the formal and casual looks into one understated design.
