Named after a native species of birds, the La Loica & La Tagua Cabins are built to embrace the rugged surroundings on the Chilian coastline. The retreats are anchored to Lagunilla Hill on the coast of Chile by a wooden pilon’s. To keep the footprint small, the cabins rise vertically minimising disruption to the sloping terrain and surrounding wildlife. Reclaimed oak exteriors complement the coastal landscape, while pine-lined walls create a warm atmosphere for the living spaces while the bedrooms are placed in the loft, leaving the kitchen and dining room below. West-facing windows immerse both levels in the scenery, including views of wild sea lions living on the adjacent Lobera rock formation. To further connect with the natural environment, a terrace expands the ground floor out to an open area overlooking the Pacific ocean. Find out more Croxattoyopazo.cl
