You can’t think about Nike SB without mentioning Sandy Bodecker. The legendary designer pioneered the brand’s skateboarding division, and with the sport’s recent inclusion in the Tokyo Olympics, it’s only fitting that Swoosh pays him tribute in the only way fit. The Nike SB Sandy ZoomX Bruin honours the late visionary by merging his two passions, skateboarding and his desire to break the two-hour marathon barrier and deliver those into one shoe. The sneaker is based on the classic Bruin silhouette adds a drop-in midsole that combines ZoomX foam for cushioning and a carbon fibre plate. Its multi-coloured knit upper is custom-printed with a portrait of Sandy by Mark Smith that hangs in Portland’s Bodecker Foundation. The Nike SB Sandy ZoomX Bruin will be released in limited quantities this summer in Tokyo. Price: TBC, Available
