Piaget Polo Green Date

When you think of timepieces that matter you automatically think of Piaget. The brand has one of the best reputations in the luxury watch world and just about every expert agrees that they manufacture excellent timepieces and deliver a substantial amount of value in each of their products. A few years ago, they updated one of their old lines and introduced the Piaget Polo S. Collectors were instantly excited and entranced by this piece due to its gorgeous design and delighted to find that it had a high level of quality as well. And so they should be, founded in 1876 by Georges-Édouard Piaget, but the brand didn’t quite look like the top-tier manufacturer we see today. In fact, he and his team only manufactured movements and sold them to watchmakers, rather than creating products of their own. That all changed a few years later when the brand was born. Piaget’s business has changed quite a bit in the last 50 years. First, their watchmaking skills continued to grow, and they became one of the better timepiece producers in the world. Second, they have built up a legitimate reputation in the jewellery world. They are now an all-around powerhouse luxury brand with an excellent reputation among collectors. So then, it is no surprise that their latest addition of the Polo Date & Polo Skeleton in luxurious emerald green has drawn much attention and fascination. For most green has long been an integral hue for the Maison in both their feminine and masculine collections, and now this energetic colour has infused the Piaget Polo Date and the Piaget Polo Skeleton. The Piaget Polo Date (our favourite) is enclosed in a 42mm case crafted in 18-karat rose gold with a matte and polished finish. The dial is dramatic thanks to its horizontal ribbed motif in rich green. Luminous hands and markers outlined in gold offer harmonious balance. The watch is powered by the 1110P self-winding Manufacture movement and features a sapphire case back for a viewing of the movement, complete with a grey oscillating weight engraved with the Piaget coat of arms. To finish it is fitted with a stunning green alligator strap. The Piaget Polo Skeleton, on the other hand, is available in steel with an interchangeable green alligator strap, has been crafted with green bridges, bringing a new style and light to the skeleton’s architectural lines. These then will surely become a must for the most legitimate of collectors around the globe, so if you intend to get your hands on them, we suggest you do not hesitate a moment longer.
