Icelandic camper brand, Mink Campers, has unveiled its latest introduction the MINK-E, the world’s very first towable, fully EV teardrop camper. Founded in 2015, the first Mink Camper – the bright yellow MINK-S edition – made its debut in 2017, and was joined by the more extreme, all-terrain MINK-X earlier this year. With a net weight of just 510 kg, the MINK-E is Mink Camper’s lightest and most environmentally friendly model to date. Where the MINK-S and MINK-X have diesel heating and gas stoves, all the MINK-E’s fixtures and fittings are powered by electricity and the camper can be charged directly through its EV charging socket. Minimal, functional, considered, and comfortable, Mink Campers are built with high levels of craftsmanship to facilitate beautiful experiences, all year round. The distinctive design, inspired by their Nordic origins is centered around their unique oversized panoramic skylight and large round side windows, which offer total immersion in nature from the comfort of the camper’s luxury Queen-size Scandinavian mattress. Enjoy open-air cooking from the back of your Mink Camper which opens to a spacious prep area with plenty of storage at the back: an illuminated 36L ice chest for cold drinks is integrated into the high-quality countertop, a storage compartment with three removable boxes also contains the signature cube gas stove with Scandinavian oak panels. The kitchen space is fitted with a 12v and a 220v socket and you can choose Mink extras including an enamel camping dining set, and for the sleeping area, a duvet set and signature blankets are available. The camper has been designed to withstand sub-zero temperatures the walls are 30 mm thick and made out of high-quality, fused ABS plastics and insulated with 19 mm Armaflex, a highly thermo-insulating material. The side-wall-integrated AirFlowTM system (patent pending) keeps the camper ventilated, and when combined with the optional powerful Webasto heating system, warm air will flow into the cabin as well underneath the luxury mattress to keep you warm and dry all night.
