Who doesn’t love a fire pit? Especially one that beats all the rest with both design and function? Autumn 2022, saw Solo Stove introduce its Mesa tabletop fire pit. Weighing in at 1kg (XL version). It doesn’t require going out and chopping or buying a mess of firewood. Yet it can burn for 30-45 minutes: perfect for fueling a late-night glass of wine with friends or maybe even cooking some hotdogs for you and the Mrs. The Mesa XL Fire Pit is the larger of the brand’s two “tabletop” pit options, yet it’s still markedly smaller than the backyard Ranger, Yukon, or Bonfire varieties. It’s another in-between, find-your-right size that’s already getting mass appeal. Solo Stove says that the Mesa XL has a pellet capacity of about 3x more than the Mesa original, and will subsequently burn for about 15 minutes longer (about an hour). If you plan on always or usually using pellets instead of traditional good ol’ kindling and wood, the Mesa XL probably makes more sense, but we found both were easy to use with the XL. Without a doubt, this is the best tabletop firepit we’ve ever used. With its elegant style and smart design, you honestly won’t find a better accessory for your outdoor lifestyle. The Mesa comes in a range of colors and has a smart 360 airflow design to ensure a longer-lasting burn. Your garden (and campsite) isn’t complete without one.
